Persistent awareness and reach for operators in difficult terrain.
Kanatir Kinetics builds autonomy software on the hardware required to trust it in the field. We develop the mission environment, the software products inside it, and the uncrewed systems that run it. We are early-stage and deliberately practical: our value is in sound engineering, honest testing, and software that behaves predictably on real hardware.
Operating in Canada means designing for cold weather, long distances, intermittent links, and remote conditions from day one — constraints that shape our software as much as our hardware. We see them as an advantage, and we align our work with allied interoperability expectations.
The company began with a straightforward conviction: Canada benefits from sovereign capability in autonomy and AI for uncrewed systems, built by engineers who care about whether the software actually works on real hardware. We are starting small, documenting everything, and earning credibility through results rather than claims.
Persistent awareness and reach for operators in difficult terrain.
Rapid eyes-on for search, assessment, and coordination.
Safe inspection of assets that are costly or hazardous to reach.
We develop our software and AI responsibly: human-in-the-loop for consequential decisions, bounded and explainable behaviour, and no autonomous targeting or engagement capability. We work within applicable Canadian law and export-control obligations, and we do not publish restricted technical data.
We are building relationships with suppliers, research partners, and early customers, and we expect to grow our engineering team. If that is you, the careers page is the place to start.
